Captivux Inc. (“Captivux”, “we”) operates a Wi-Fi infrastructure SaaS platform (captive portal, RADIUS server, white-label CRM). This policy describes how we process personal data, in compliance with Law 25 (Québec) and the GDPR (EU).
1. Data controller
Captivux Inc., Laval (QC), Canada — info@captivux.com. For data collected via a client’s captive portal, that business client acts as the data controller and Captivux as the processor.
2. Data collected
Via the client venues’ captive portal: name, email address, phone number (optional), device MAC address, timestamp and session volume. Via the website: demo request data (name, email, company, phone, message).
3. Purposes
Network authentication (RADIUS), provision of Wi-Fi access, anonymized footfall measurement, and — subject to consent — the venue’s marketing communications.
4. Legal basis & consent
Processing is based on the performance of the service and on explicit consent collected on the portal. Marketing consent is optional and revocable at any time.
5. Retention
Session data is kept for as long as necessary for operations and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized. Marketing contacts are kept until consent is withdrawn.
6. Security
Encryption in transit (TLS), multi-venue isolation, access control via authenticated tokens, and hosting on managed infrastructure. Security aligned with industry best practices.
